Lake Chelan, WA :: From the moment we first met Alexis and Nikita, we knew we were going to have a great wedding to photograph. First of all, they’re a great looking couple. (Alexis is probably stunning on a bad day, so in her dress… Job done!) …and Nikita, well he’s a pretty handsome guy too! :) They’re both charming and full of warmth and smiles to make it even better. But for us, being photogenic is only half of the key to great wedding photography… The real secret to a great wedding with beautiful people being transformed into great wedding photos is time.
Time is the thing that is most often sacrificed at a wedding because it isn’t always realized beforehand how fast it goes on a wedding day. “Time is relative”, and that means when many important things are happening in close proximity, many couples seem to lose a sense of it and gravitate to excitement of family and friends… and their earlier plans and expectations of what they wanted photos of get lost too. Knowing that ahead of time (and expecting that very thing will happen) cannot be overemphasized.
Alexis and Nikita were very good about listening to our advice on scheduling (The First Look) and we were more then happy to spend time and listen and work with them to get all the things they wanted in the time they had. Ultimately, working together gave us all the results we really were hoping for!
