Scottsbluff, NE :: Garrett & Janelle decided to return to her hometown to get married, and although the mental image that springs to mind for most people of a destination wedding has something to do with beaches and palm trees, it has a lot to do with what you consider a destination. (Beaches might be exotic to someone who lives in the mountains, but the Midwest is pretty exotic to those who live in New Jersey!) I think a destination wedding can be anywhere that captures your heart!
Their wedding ceremony was at the “Barn Anew”, a cute little B&B just west of town and through the gorgeous Scottsbluff National Monument (where we took some of the fantastic sunset shots below), and it certainly was a treat for many of their guests who – like us – came in from out of town. The landscape is mostly flat, but the rocky outcrops that rise in the background are a source of wonder.
