Oroville, WA :: Often we joke about the weather playing little tricks on us, and it’s mostly because there’s a flip-side to just about any weather condition. For example; a sunny day might sound perfect, but it could also have everybody squinting in the mid-day sun, or it might be too hot for everyone in wedding clothes. On the other hand, an overcast day is perfect lighting for portraits, but lousy for sunsets… right? On the rarest occasions, that difficult weather condition might happen to be forest fire smoke.
When we arrived at Veranda Beach Resort, the smoke blowing in from Canada obscured the nearby mountains and even the other side of the lake, casting an unflattering brown hue on everything… but by the time that Chris & Paige were finished getting ready, the wind had cleared the lake and revealed a magical landscape for us to enjoy. It truly was a fantastic day!
