Lacey, WA :: Stephen and I had sort of a fairy tale / Renaissance theme wedding when we got married some years back. (Don’t laugh!) It was cool way back then… when dinosaurs ruled the earth! :) The wedding dress I wore back then was designed by Stephen’s mother and aunt, and it was really gorgeous. It always made me sad to know it was just hanging there, in the closet, when it could be used for something far greater then that? So that was what got me thinking… Why not use it for a fairy tale theme shoot?
I thought of this idea months earlier, but with our busy work schedule it’s not easy to just drop paying jobs and do something for ourselves. Luckily, Katrina (a bride whose wedding we shot a few years back) was super excited and totally willing to do this shoot with us whenever we could manage it! She’s amazing and totally wonderful to work with, plus she’s as cute as the day is long too! (Exactly what we needed!)
This session was really fun for us to shoot, and we couldn’t have done it without Katrina’s help either! (I knew it was “meant to be” when Katrina tried on my wedding dress and it fit her perfectly!)
